U.S. POINTER Study Update: Lifestyle Program Significantly Improves Cognition in Older Adults

Can everyday lifestyle choices really protect your memory? Dr. Laura Baker, professor at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, will share results from the groundbreaking U.S. POINTER trial—the largest study of its kind to test how lifestyle changes impact brain health. She will explain how combining these strategies creates a powerful blueprint for protecting brain health and reducing dementia risk, and what practical steps you can take in your own life.

Dr. Laura Baker is an international leader in the areas of cognitive aging and lifestyle interventions to protect brain health and prevent cognitive decline, Alzheimer’s disease, and related dementia. She has been an investigator of over 55 clinical studies and has led or co-led several large multisite trials. Dr. Baker and her team recently completed U.S. POINTER, the largest trial to date testing the effects of a two-year multidomain lifestyle intervention on cognition in adults at risk for cognitive decline and dementia.
