Rathore

Dr. Saima Rathore is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Biomedical Informatics and Neurology at Emory University. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering and a PhD in Computer and Information Sciences, and her research focuses on developing computational and AI-driven methods for personalized medicine in neurodegeneration. Prior to joining Emory, she served as Senior Advisor of Imaging Sciences and a member of the Neurodegeneration Biomarker Group at Eli Lilly and Company, where she developed and validated multimodal biomarkers to advance early diagnosis, monitor therapy efficacy, support prevention strategies for at-risk individuals, and enhance patient enrichment in Alzheimer’s clinical trials. Her multimodal AI methods, integrating imaging, genomics, and clinical traits, have been used to predict longitudinal changes in pathology and cognitive performance, improving clinical trial enrollment and reducing required sample sizes. She also identified and validated key genetic risk factors in large-scale clinical trial datasets. Dr. Rathore has spearheaded collaborative efforts at Emory, integrating deep CSF proteomic profiling with neuroimaging to uncover mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease and develop prognostic models that illuminate the biological drivers of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
