Willard Freeman, PhD

Dr. Freeman received his Chemistry and English degrees from Wake Forest University and his PhD in Pharmacology from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. After further training at the Vollum Institute and Yerkes National Primate Research Center he was a faculty member at the Penn State College of Medicine and University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He joined the Genes & Human Disease Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in 2019 and Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 2018. Dr. Freeman's research is centered on neuroepigenetics with an emphasis on aging and diabetes.
