Sandro Da Mesquita, PhD

Sandro Da Mesquita, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of neuroscience in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Da Mesquita's research focuses on the pathophysiology of brain aging and neurological disorders, with a special interest about the role of the recently characterized meningeal lymphatic system. His main goals are to advance the basic knowledge of disease mechanisms involving meningeal lymphatics and to develop novel bench-to-bedside therapeutic strategies to prevent age-associated neurodegeneration and cognitive decline, particularly in the context of Alzheimer's disease.
