Nick Marsh-Armstrong,  PhD

Dr. Marsh-Armstrong earned his B.A. from Haverford College, double majoring in both chemistry and philosophy. He then obtained his Ph.D. in neuroscience from Harvard University working in the laboratories of John E. Dowling and Walter Gilbert. After post-doctoral training with Don Brown at the Carnegie Institution of Washington Department of Embryology, he joined the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Departments of Neuroscience and Ophthalmology in 2001. Dr. Marsh-Armstrong then joined the UC Davis Department of Ophthalmology faculty in 2016, and as of 2022 has been the Daryl and Opal Geweke Endowed Chair in Glaucoma Research. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has had continuous funding from the NIH National Eye Institute and foundations for two decades. Dr. Marsh-Armstrong is involved in extensive grant reviewing, editorial, and other activities directed at promoting the highest quality glaucoma research.
