Cuadrícula de Amsler

The Amsler grid can help detect early signs of retinal disease and monitor changes in vision after diagnosis.

1. Sostenga esta lámina (Cuadrícula de Amsler) a una distancia de lectura cómoda (generalmente, entre 12 a 14 pulgadas de distancia). Póngase anteojos de lectura si normalmente los utiliza.

2. Cúbrase un ojo y enfóquese en el “punto negro” del centro de la cuadrícula.

3. Cúbrase el otro ojo y repita la prueba.

Si las líneas aparecen irregulares, tenues, onduladas o borrosas, haga una cita para realizarse un examen ocular de inmediato. 

Esta prueba no pretende reemplazor los examines oculares regulares.
