Hyunjun Yang, PhD

Dr. Hyunjun Yang is a postdoctoral fellow in DeGrado and Condello labs at Institute of Neurodegenerative Diseases at the University of California, San Francisco (2019–). He received BS in Biochemistry in 2013, from University of Wisconsin, Madison and PhD in Organic Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. James S. Nowick in 2019, from the University of California, Irvine. PhD thesis was on elucidating the mechanism of action of an amyloid-like antibiotic teixobactin with X-ray crystallography. He was awarded Allergan Graduate Fellowship from Allergan in 2018, and The Peptide Science Poster Award from American Peptide Society in 2019.
