Biography
Dr. Tamer Ibrahim (mentor) is an electrical engineer and a Professor of Bioengineering, Radiology, and Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh. His team addresses challenges related to radiofrequency inhomogeneity and safety concerns, particularly those arising from variations in human subjects’ head shapes, sizes, and geometries in ultrahigh-field magnetic resonance imaging. As Dr. Liou’s primary mentor, he will guide her in sequence optimization, image acquisition, and image analysis using high-throughput approaches and machine learning algorithms. He will also provide mentorship on peer-reviewed publication, grant submission, and career development.
