Drummond

Dr. Eleanor Drummond is an Associate Professor of Neuroscience and Bluesand Principal Research Fellow at the Brain & Mind Centre, University of Sydney. Her research focuses on understanding the biological changes that drive Alzheimer’s disease and primary tauopathies, with the aim of identifying new biomarkers and therapeutic targets. She uses advanced proteomics and neuropathology approaches to study protein changes linked to disease in human brain tissue. She has a particular interest in identifying proteins that mediate the development of neuropathology and has developed several novel approaches that allow for the unbiased study of proteins linked to neuropathology development. Her work has been recognised through several awards, including the Alzheimer’s Association Blas Frangione Early Career Achievement Award and the Australian Dementia Network Mid-Career Achievement Award.
