Biography
Dr. Pottier is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Washington University, where he focuses on identifying and characterizing genetic and transcriptomic alterations associated with young-onset dementia using innovative approaches. Dr. Pottier has utilized a range of different innovative approaches, such as family-based, de novo, recessive, association studies, bulk and single-nuclei RNA sequencing, to successfully highlight new risk factors and pathways associated with neurodegenerative disorders. As a young new investigator, he is now developing a new independent research program at Washington University that focuses on identifying genetic risk, modifiers, and disease presentation markers of patients with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease and FTLD. He has a strong interest in correlating phenotypic presentation with multi-omics data such as genetics, transcriptomics, and proteomics. Dr Pottier aims to discover new genetic factors and biomarkers for neurodegenerative disorders, opening new research avenues and therapeutic strategies.
