Reynolds

Dr. Reynolds is a human geneticist whose research focuses on the intersection of population genetics and genetic epidemiology. His goal is to use genetic ancestry from diverse populations to better understand differences in disease risk. He earned his undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Indiana University Bloomington, where he studied mitochondrial ancestry. He earned his PhD in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Texas at Austin, where he was awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship to study the genetics of admixed populations. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the lab of Dr. Brenna Henn at the University of California, Davis where he began to combine his research in genetic ancestry analysis with the genetics of complex disease.
