Goals

Identify new druggable targets for AD-risk mitigation in at-risk patient populations.

Unique and Innovative

This proposal uniquely integrates multimorbidity clustering with advanced biomarker discovery to move beyond traditional single-risk-factor approaches. Our focus on lipid biomarkers as a modifiable target in dementia risk among cardiovascular patients is novel. Combining large-scale population data with detailed biomarker analyses advances precision medicine for dementia prevention.

Foreseeable Benefits

Our research will improve early identification of individuals at highest risk for dementia due to cardiovascular multimorbidity. It will guide development of targeted therapies to reduce dementia progression. This work also opens new avenues for personalized treatment by linking lipid and metabolic biomarkers to disease mechanisms.
