Chia-Chen Liu, PhD

Dr. Liu’s major interest is to study the pathogenic pathways of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and cerebral vascular diseases with a focus on the roles of apolipoprotein E (apoE) and apoE receptors. She has conducted several AD research projects, and has published over 31 peer-reviewed articles in well-known journals, including Neuron, Science Translational Medicine, Nature Review Neurology, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), Molecular Neurodegeneration, Journal of Neuroscience, and Journal of Biological Chemistry.
