Martha Taggart’s aim is to translate science and medicine into language we all can understand. With a B.A. in English literature/visual arts and an M.A. in journalism (both Penn State), her career has been in health and science communications. As a medical reporter, she learned to ask simple questions and listen as scientists revealed the stories and excitement behind their work. It’s a skill that comes in handy when writing about the innovative research projects that BrightFocus supports.
