With more than two decades of integrated marketing and communications experience, Kaci Baez joined BrightFocus Foundation in February of 2022 to direct strategic integrated marketing and communications efforts, generate greater public awareness, and increase brand engagement for the organization’s mission to end diseases of mind and sight.

Prior to BrightFocus, Baez served on the senior leadership team at Reynolda House Museum of American Art and Reynolda Gardens at Wake Forest University, where she increased audience reach and engagement through the launch of an integrated digital brand hub and strategically led multicultural marketing campaigns. Baez has previously held marketing and communications leadership roles across the non-profit and corporate sectors, including in education, for global clients at Mullen Lowe Communications, and at Yale University.

Baez holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications, where she graduated magna cum laude, and has completed trainings in business administration, non-profit leadership, and diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion.

An advocate for fair and equitable health and wellness for all populations, Baez has served as a member of REACH Women’s Network, a nonprofit that seeks to advance economic development and promote gender equality in the workplace, and previously served on the board of the Junior League of Winston-Salem.  Baez lives in Austin, Texas, and is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, the International Association of Business Communicators, and the Women Communicators of Austin.

We are seeing great progress to end these age-related diseases, and by expanding our awareness efforts across channels and audiences, we can accelerate that progress even more.  I am honored to join the BrightFocus team at such a critical moment.
