Causas del glaucoma del desarrollo o congénito

Los glaucomas del desarrollo o congénitos son un grupo de trastornos oculares en los que hay una anormalidad con el desarrollo de las estructuras de drenaje del ojo, lo que conduce a presiones oculares elevadas y daño al nervio óptico.

Este tipo de glaucoma incluye glaucoma congénito primario, que viene de nacimiento o aparece después de un poco de tiempo, así como hay otras causas de glaucoma infantil o juvenil.
