Jonathan Lin, MD, PhD
Dr. Lin is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at University of California San Diego School of Medicine. He previously trained at UCSF and Brigham Women’s Hospital. He completed his medical and doctoral degrees at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Lin’s laboratory focuses on deciphering the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying protein folding diseases. His research team is heavily involved in identifying ways to prevent and reduce endoplasmic reticulum and oxidative stress in retinitis pigmentosa and age-related macular degeneration. In addition to his BrightFocus award, Dr. Lin is the recipient of the prestigious Ramzi Cotran award for young investigators.
