Brent Aulston Ph.D. is a postdoctoral scholar in Dr. Subhojit Roy’s lab studying the neurodegenerative mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease. Prior to his position at UCSD, Dr. Aulston received his Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba under the mentorship of Dr. Gordon Glazner where he studied the molecular links between diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Aulston is currently developing a novel, gene-based therapy for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. His primary goal is to translate his basic research findings into a clinic-ready therapeutic.
