2023 Annual Report Commemorates 50 Years of Breakthrough Research

BrightFocus Foundation’s 2023 annual report highlights five decades of funding the boldest research and what-if ideas to get us closer to cures for Alzheimer’s disease, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Donor-supported research has resulted in some of the most powerful novel treatments, advancements, and diagnostic tools in use today.

The eye is the window to the brain, and BrightFocus Foundation is at the forefront of advancing eye and brain research through its unique focus on these three neurodegenerative diseases affecting more than 300 million people worldwide.

BrightFocus also raises awareness and empowers people with these diseases and their loved ones by sharing expert resources and information, including live and on-demand audio and video expert information resources, brochures, and community events and film screenings.
