Sean Curry, MPH
Sean Curry, MPH, is the Programs Manager at the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington (POB). Sean completed is BS in Biology and Health Science from Lebanon Valley College and completed his Master’s in Public Health (MPH) at George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health. Sean has completed previous research on addressing public health gaps in the opioid epidemic in Central Pennsylvania, and food desert equity. At POB, Sean focuses on helping meet the needs of the community in vision care, especially low vision.
POB offers a suite of sight-saving programs, including screenings, education and information sharing, and low vision services. POB maintains an exam lane for two optometrists specializing in low vision in Capitol Hill, DC and Alexandria, VA. To schedule an appointment, please call 202-234-1010 ext. 228. In addition, POB has opened a new Low Vision Learning Center in Bethesda, MD for free one-on-one appointments with non-medical personnel to test different aids and devices and learn about available resources.
