Clarksburg MD - BrightFocus Foundation, a premier source of private research funding to defeat Alzheimer’s disease, macular degeneration, and glaucoma, today announced the addition of Sharyn Rossi, PhD, to its senior staff as the organization’s new Director of Scientific Programs, Neuroscience.

“I believe that BrightFocus can change the trajectory of Alzheimer’s by funding innovative science and increasing public education on the disease. I am honored to be part of such an incredible team,” Dr. Rossi said.

The foundation’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research program, which Dr. Rossi will manage, is currently supporting 133 grants around the world, a $35 million investment.
