Haoyu Mao, Ph.D., is the 2012 recipient of the Elizabeth Anderson Award for Macular Degeneration, and is an assistant research scientist at Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, University of Florida, College of Medicine. Her research focuses on finding new treatments for age-related macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, and gene therapies for retinal degeneration.
