Create a Personal Fundraising Page

Help us raise money to support cutting edge research by creating a fundraising page. You can choose to support one of BrightFocus' programs: Alzheimer's Disease Research, Macular Degeneration Research, or National Glaucoma Research. You can even choose to support all three of our programs by choosing the BrightFocus Foundation. Through your fundraising page, you can tell your story about why this cause matters to you, raise awareness, and help to financially support much needed research. When you create your fundraising page, you may want to promote a personal event. Family reunions, marathons, walkathons, chili cook-offs, basket bingo, and yard sales are all good examples of events that you could organize. Holding an event and promoting it on your fundraising page can be such a fun way to raise awareness and collect money for research.

Managing Your Fundraising Page is Easy

All you have to do is:

  1. Build it - Building your page should only take between 5 and 10 minutes. Customize it by writing a personal story or adding a photo. Then you can post it online. You can choose to either make it public or keep it private. If you choose to keep it private, only friends and family that you choose to send your page to will have access to it.

  2. Share it - Even though your page is available online, your friends and family will not be able to see it until you tell them about it. Email those whom you care about and tell them about the cause you are supporting. Make sure to include a direct link to your page so that it is easy for them to find.

  3. Update it - Now that you've built it and are sharing it, you will want to keep it up to date. Interact with your friends and family. The "Personal Fundraising" management center enables you to send emails, post updates to your page, and check on the impact that your page is making.
