Welcome to BrightFocus
Over the last two years, we have undertaken a comprehensive strategic planning process to strengthen our impact on our three disease areas. One of the key recommendations was to develop a new name that more clearly defines the overall work we are doing.
On February 1, the American Health Assistance Foundation (AHAF) changed its name to the BrightFocus Foundation. Our new name, BrightFocus, was chosen to better communicate our renewed and urgent dedication to saving mind and sight.
As we tackle three of the toughest health issues facing Americans today, we have rededicated ourselves to advancing innovative research and educating the public in our three core programs: Alzheimer's Disease Research; National Glaucoma Research; and Macular Degeneration Research.
