College Students Arrive in Washington, Completing
3,000-Mile Bike Ride for Alzheimer’s Disease Research

Notice of July 17-18 Photo Opportunity/Media Availability

Clarksburg, MD—Seven weeks ago, 12 fraternity brothers from Western Kentucky University launched a coast-to-coast bike ride—Bike4Alz—to raise money for the BrightFocus Foundation’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research program.

On Thursday, July 17, they arrive in the Greater Washington area—after enduring desert heat, vertical mountain climbs in the Rockies, the ride-ending injury of one biker, as well as wonderful experiences they share on their blog and website, www.bike4Alz.org

What:

Photo Opportunity and interview riders at the culmination of Bike4Alz, a 3,000-mile bike ride to end Alzheimer’s, undertaken by 12 Western Kentucky University students, all members of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.

The bikers depart for the final leg of their cross-country journey, into Washington, DC, and the National Mall.
